Dora A. Jabbour Solicitor values and respects the privacy of the people she deals with.  She is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and other applicable privacy laws and regulations.

This Privacy Policy (Policy) describes how I collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information, and how I maintain the quality and security of your personal information.

In reading this Policy, please note that I would never ask you to send me your account details only by email as this is unsecure.  I will always follow up the request by making other checks.

What is personal information?

Generally this includes information that personally identifies you either directly or indirectly (eg. your name).

What personal information do I collect?

The personal information I collect about you depends on the nature of your dealings with me or what you choose to share with me.

I may collect the following information from you:

- your mailing or street address

- your date of birth

- your phone number

- your identification documents.

I may collect your personal information from you when you:

- interact with me in person.

How do I use your personal information?

I use your personal information for many purposes in connection with my functions and activities, including the following purposes:

- providing you with information and services that you request from me

- internal administrative processes

- as required by government authorities.

Disclosure  of personal information to third parties

I may need to disclose your personal information to third parties in the provision of my services to you.  Some examples are Revenue NSW and PEXA.

How do I protect your personal information?

I will take reasonable steps to ensure the personal information I hold about you is kept confidential and secure by only sharing that information as required by the government bodies such as Revenue NSW and PEXA.

Retention of your personal information

I will only retain your personal information for the duration of the relationship with me, and also for a period of 7 years thereafter as I am required to retain record keeping information for a period of 7 years.
